Kütahya Tavsanli Irrigation Rehabilitation Technical Report and Design Documentation Preparation

With the “Kütahya Tavşanlı Project Renewal Technical Report and Project Design” work, it is aimed to prepare studies for the rehabilitation of Tavşanlı and Karapelit Irrigation which are in use, by making use of the waters of Kayaboğazı Dam in operation.

When the current situation of irrigation systems productivity rates of Tavşanlı Irrigation examined, according to the average last 10 years data of DSI, we find 17.4% which seems to be well below the average of 3.Regional Directorate and in Turkey. With the rehabilitation of the irrigation system, in the region, which will have the most modern system piped irrigation network, the farmer will be given the opportunity to make a more efficient irrigated agriculture. The project, which is considered to be suitable for renewal with technical and economic data, will be useful in terms of improving the livelihood of the local people and contributing to the country’s economy.

Renewal Technical Report has been approved in this project. Preparation of irrigation network projects for the gross 5887 ha area is ongoing.
